Prof. Bill Johnston Publishes Two New Translations

Wednesday, October 15, 2025

Comparative Literature Professor Bill Johnston published two new translations in as many months this fall.

In August, Les Fugitives released Johnston's translation of a grammar of the world, a poetry collection by French writer, Jeanne Benameur.

On October 21, Johnston's translation of Wiesław Myśliwski’s latest novel, Needle's Eye, will be released by Archipelago Books.

Johnston translates from French and Polish. His previous work has been honored with the Best Translasted Book Award, the PEN Translation Prize, and the National Translation Award in Poetry.
