Natasha ‘s research interests include autobiography, World War II in literature and film, with an emphasis on Eastern European and German literary and cinematic works, documentary studies, and memory studies. She conducts her research within the linguistic traditions of English, German, Polish, and Russian.
Natasha recently presented a paper on the reception of Alexander Sokurov’s documentary We Read the Book of the Blockade at Visible Evidence conference in Gdańsk, held in August 2022. This year, she is scheduled to present an analysis of Hanna Krall’s reportage techniques at the ASEES national convention in Philadelphia.
In the academic year 2023-24, Natasha is working on her dissertation project, which explores the use of documentary material in literature, film, and museum installations. Her work is supervised by Professor Joanna Niżyńska.
